PB Jenny

hey there friends and thank you so much for visiting my page =) In a few short words I am a 19 year old English major at Sacred Heart University with a passion for family, love, creativity, yoga, and i kind of like peanut butter too ;). Sure, those are just a few tidbits about me but what is the story of the girl behind the jar?

I’m a hustler, I’ma I’ma hustler homie.

I felt like such a hustler today.

I literally stopped in 12 different locations to pick up job applications and got the same response from them all of the companies

“I’m not sure if we’re hiring now, but it’s always good to have your application on hand if we need you”

In other words, “tough luck, toots”

I’ve been fortunate enough to fall in to my other jobs either through connections or lucky breaks, so I’ve never really had to hustle to find one. I suppose this is what we call “reality” huh? Not sure if I like it.

I do like Julie’s peanut flour candy though. a lot lot lotttt !

This meal was so brown. My camera hated it, my tummy loved it… one out of two ain’t bad.

rolled oats cooked in almond milk, vanilla oikos, PF candy.

‘Twas the perfect snack to repair my muscles after an arm pumping upper body session.

I know I said that I was committing myself to only barre training DVDs but seriously, when have I ever been one to play by the rules? Even if they are my own. Although the barre method does incorporate upper body workouts, they focus moreso on high reps/low weight – which is awesome for toning, but not necessarily muscle growth (and gaining weight !) so I’ve decided to supplement my barre training with two days of heavy upper body weight lifting. Nothing too serious, just a few exercises to work all of the major muscle groups.

Tuesday my workout looked like ‘dissss.

3 sets/10-12 reps

  • Shoulder Press (shoulders)
  • Chest Press (chest)
  • Concentration curls (biceps)
  • Skull crushers (triceps)
  • Rear deltoid raise (back)

and Today it looked like ‘dissss.

3 sets/10-12 reps

  • Lateral Raise (shoulders)
  • Flies (chest)
  • Bicep Curls (biceps)
  • Overhead Tricep Extensions (triceps)
  • One arm Cable row (back)

Also, taking days off to focus on my upper body gives me legs a much needed day off (barre training seriously rocks the lower body like nobody’s business )

So now my new plan is:

  • 4 days of barre training**
  • 2 days of upper body/yoga/stretching
  • 1 day sitting on my bum.

**Although I was initially only going to do Core Fusion workouts, after trying out Physique 57 (more on that tomorrow!), I’ve decided to expand my DVD horizons. I will still only be focusing on barre training though. Deal?

Random foodie photo from the day: Lunch

  • nooch sauce
  • grape tomatoes
  • mushrooms
  • cashews

How did you find YOUR job (or previous jobs?) advertisements? craigslist? hustlin’? contacts? lucky breaks?

I feel like all I’ve been taking about as of late is barre training and jobs (or lack thereof), anything else you’d like to hear (read?) me blab about around these parts?

Gingie and I are watching “The King’s Speech” tonight. I’ve heard nothing but good things so I can’t wait to check it out for myself!
