I'm quite fond of fruit snacks, as I love something that is both fruity and sweet. Ian's Natural Foods FruitaBits Crispy Fruit Snacks in Berry Cherry flavor definitely intrigued me. A "crispy" fruit snack? I thought it might taste like freeze-dried fruit, but I was actually quite wrong! Each package of Berry Cherry FruitaBits contains rather small pieces in the shape of tiny balls, with a purple-reddish color. There are a lot of the little pieces in a package, which I thought was good. There was a very strong tart cherry smell as I opened the package, and I actually was a bit scared to try these. Would they be sour tasting? To my surprise, they actually were not tart, and were actually pretty sweet! I thought it had more of a strawberry than cherry flavor, with a bit of blueberry flavor as well. Each piece is light and crunchy, and overall it sort of reminded me of fruity-tasting cereal. Overall, I think that this is a unique snack, that is actually quite good. I don't think I will be eating it very frequently, however, as it does not contain any fiber and only has 1 gram of protein per 21 gram serving. However, it was a nice and sweet treat to eat.
